Guests at the 11th New Horizons International Film Festival

We are pleased to announce that, like every year, the International Film Festival New Horizons will host people from cinema from all over the world, both beginners and great masters. They will meet audiences in Wroclaw at the numerous discussion panels, after film screenings and on less formal occasions during the festival.

The stars of this year's retrospectives have already confirmed they will be coming: Anja Breien, director and co-creator of the feminist image of the new wave of Norwegian cinema; Bruno Daumont, a Frenchman whose controversial films have been shown for years at the festival, provoking many discussions; and Terry Gilliam, member of the legendary Monty Python, one of the greatest originals in the film industry.

Among the festival guests we wouldn't leave out the idol of New Horizons audiences, and star of the festival retrospective in 2004, the Hungarian Béla Tarr, who, after receiving a prize at the Berlin festival for "The Turin Horse", announced his farewell to cinema.

Another famous Korean director will visit Wroclaw - Kim Ki-duk, the maker of films such as "Spring, summer, autumn, winter and spring" and "The empty room", shown in Poland, and whose latest film awarded in Cannes, "Arirang", is included in the program of the 11th New Horizons International Film Festival.
