12th New Horizons IFF
The biggest film festival in Poland New Horizons International Film Festival, est. 2001, is the biggest film festival in Poland and it is regarded as one of the most important film events in Central Europe. The festival presents uncompromising, innovative and original cinema from all over the world that explores new horizons in film language, expression and storytelling. The festival has 4 competitive sections and is accredited by FIPRESCI and by FIAPF as a Competitive Specialized Feature Film Festival. New Horizons has a strong focus on music and contemporary art and organizes live music concerts every evening and art installations and performances throughout the city.

New Horizons International Competition - consists of 14 bold and original Polish premieres which always provoke extreme emotions, evoke delight or protests. grand prix - eur 20,000.

All films are screened with English and Polish subtitles. Wroclaw - one of the biggest and most dynamic Polish cities (700.000 inhabitants) with great history and vibrant cultural and night-life. Easy to reach - in south-western Poland, only 180km from the German border.

New Horizons run a distribution arm (LINK) focused on cutting-edge arthouse cinema and guarantees Polish distribution to its winners.
The festival also runs a film education scheme (LINK) for 42,000 students in Poland and organizes the American Film Festival (LINK) in Wroclaw in November.
