The presence of art at the festival has a history since New Horizons invites the artists with connections to the programme and creates art collections complementing the film screenings. This year Wrocław will also have many artistic events.
Witold Liszkowski, an artist who has been present at the festival for years, will celebrate three decades of his artistic work. The anniversary painting exhibition at the Wrocław Arsenal will be accompanied by a multimedia project, Pinku eiga - Personal Art, specially created to be performed at the festival. This initiative is connected with the Japanese erotic cinema review, which will also be a part of the 11th edition of NH.
In connection with the presentation of the Norwegian cinematography within the frames of the Norway Expanded project at the BWA Studio Gallery in Wrocław, we will be offering a chance to see a retrospective exhibition of a Norwegian video performer - Ane Lan, who represents contemporary feminist art. Awangarda Gallery, in turn, at its exhibition entitled Rub Your Eyes, will show objects of prehistoric visuality from the famous collection of a German director - Werner Nekes.
